We offer comfortable, private accommodation in four wooden lodges. Two lodges are situated
up on the mountainside, with spectacular views of sunsets and the mountains. The two lodges
are built on the tranquil stocked trout dam.
All four lodges are attractively and comfortably furnished to ensure visitors of a relaxing and
enjoyable stay in this tranquil mountain setting. They are fully equipped with cotton linen, towels,

kitchen utensils, outside braai (barbeque) facilities and have their own private decks.
They all have ceramic wood burning fireplaces – fire and braai wood supplied.
Each lodge consists of two separate bedrooms - a main bedroom en suite and a twin room with its
own family bathroom. The double sofa in the lounge can also be converted in a double bed, giving
maximum occupancy of six people.

- Fish Eagle -

Fish Eagle is situated high up on the hill with views of the magnificent mountains both West as
well as East enabling one to see stunning sunrise and sunsets without getting off the sofa.
One can look down on the river as well as the "Nursery" dam to see when the fish are rising.
Because the deck is open one can see the stars at night without going outside. This lodge is
ideal for those who enjoy panoramic views.

- Loerie -
Sleep 4 in beds
Loerie is situated high up on the hillside surrounded by indigenous bush with the Kwaai River
some distance below. The large covered deck faces West making it ideal for private afternoon
sun bathing. Both bedrooms are situated to the back of the lodge with the entertainment area
to the front. Being built on stilts this lodges offers covered parking. In the evening you can
relax on the solid wood deck furniture while watching the sunset over the Outeniqua & Kammanasie
mountain range. This lodge is ideal for those who seek privacy.

- King Fisher -
Sleep 4 in beds and additional 2 guests on a sleeper couch
King Fisher is one of the two lodges situated above a trout dam. The covered deck faces East
and is equipped with solid wood furniture. Both bedrooms are situated to the back of the lodge
with the entertainment area to the front. Relax to the sound of running water and many waterfowl
that frequent the waters. This lodge favours those who enjoy a sunny morning breakfast.

- Hoopoe -
Sleep 4 in beds and additional 2 guests on a sleeper couch
Hoopoe is the first lodge situated on a trout dam with views over our pecan grove. The covered
deck faces East with the main bedroom leading to the deck that overlooks the water. Here you
can relax on the waters edge and enjoy the sight of fly fishermen trying their hand at catching
trout. This lodge is ideal for those who enjoy being close to the water.

Important Notes:
• We pride ourselves in operating the entire retreat with "green"
electricity making us "off the grid" since 2000. All the electrical
appliances in the camp is low energy consuming. There are no electrical
outlets in the kitchen or tent area. You are welcome to bring small items to
reception for changing purposes.
• All the lodges are non-smoking.
• Unfortunately, no pets allowed
