The "Poort" between Uniondale (R339) and Avontuur will be closed for flood repair till
July 2010. Make use of the detour via spectacular Potjies berg Pass. Continue 15km past
Uniondale via N9 towards George. At the bottom of the Potjies berg Pass turn left towards
Joubertina. Some 15km later on your right you will find Avontuur, turn right and follow the
pass down to our village de Vlugt.

Due to us being situated in the mountains mobile phones have no reception; you are advised to give your family our landline number should they need to get hold of you in an emergency.

All bookings need to be done via the secure online booking system.

Since we are part of a conservancy, please NO Pets.

We do not allow any music, generators or loud noise.

We generate our own electricity and regret that guests cannot use any additional electrical equipment other than what is supplied in the Lodges or in the Tipi Camp.

There is no petrol station, bank or shop so fill up your tank & wallet before you arrive.

The owners and staff hereby indemnify themselves of any loss, injury or damage caused to yourselves or your property during your stay at Outeniqua Trout Lodge.

Be aware that you are in the wild, there are snakes, baboons, spiders, scorpions and other animals, they occur naturally here. In most cases they are more afraid of you then you are of them. So for your own safety be aware, close your doors when you are out of the cottage or tents.
